Power traders and marketers in the United Kingdom are supported by Allegro’s powerful NETA Connect component which provides a standard, real-time interface to the New Electricity Trading Arrangements (NETA) and British Electricity Trading and Transmission Arrangements (BETTA) markets. This interface benefits energy traders who operate in the extended Scotland, England and Wales energy markets by providing a comprehensive and integrated power trading and marketing solution. Market participants are able to interface with the NETA/BETTA market system through an energy agent and can submit volume notifications to the market operator as well as retrieve information about transaction status and forward positions. Additionally, the interface allows users to receive periodic reports from the NETA market operator.
NETA Connect provides five NETA/BETTA market interfaces with the Energy Contract Volume Aggregation Agent, specifically:
- Energy Contract Volume Notification, provided by Allegro to ECVAA on demand.
- ECVN Rejection Feedback, from ECVAA to Allegro after submission of an Energy Contract Volume Notification.
- Notification Report, from ECVAA to Allegro, retrieved once daily.
- Forward Contract Report, from ECVAA to Allegro, retrieved four times daily.
- Energy Contract Volume Notification Acceptance Feedback Report, from ECVAA to Allegro. This is issued to both parties relevant to any ECVN for which delivery of the first settlement period specified commences within 72 settlement periods, i.e. 36 hours, of the submission time.
