These courses are designed to provide the Allegro System Administrator the skills required to extend the capabilities of Allegro through data model, visual model, messaging and connect extensions as well as manage users and security access.

SA308 Business Process Validation

Participants will learn about Allegro’s Business Process Validation tool. After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Configure and run process validations
- Review and analyze process validations for errors
- Identify options for validating the results of the process validations

SA202 Grid Configuration

In this course, participants will learn how to use the Server Manager to configure an Allegro grid. Topics will include:
- Defining the Allegro “grid”
- Define the term “background process”
- Configuring one or more application servers as the “grid”
- Monitoring grid server activity
- Performing grid server updates (deploying new Allegro release)
- Reviewing and evaluating the grid log
- Using Grid scheduler to automate process execution

SA203 Security and Permissions

The Allegro architecture provides powerful features to allow the system administrator to secure the Allegro application. After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Apply an Allegro license key
- Add new users
- Create security groups and assign users
- Define security at various levels including
- View/function level
- Table level
- Column level
- Apply criteria to restrict data access capabilities
- Configure an approval process

SA204 Process Manager and Real Time Valuations

After completing this course, participants will be able to use the Process Manager to:
- Manually invoke position valuations
- Schedule portfolio valuations using the Grid Scheduler

In this course, participants will learn how to configure Price Connect to download market data from data aggregators including LIM and Global View, data reporting services such as Platts. After completing this course, participants will be able to:

- Define the supported types of market data
- Cross reference the data type supported by the various data providers/aggregators
- Configure required parameters per vendor
- Process data import per vendor

In this course, participants will learn how to configure Exchange Connect to view, execute and download transactions from ICE and exchanges utilizing Trading Technologies. (Currently only covers ICE.) After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify required information to configure ICE
- Configure Allegro to interface with ICE
- View downloaded ICE deals
- Correct and re-process downloaded ICE deals
- Configure automatic parameter downloads from ICE using the Grid Scheduler

SA220.1 Credit Connect

In this course, participants will learn how to use CreditConnect to import credit rating and fundamental details from the Securities Information Retrieval Service (SIRS™) from vendor Interactive Data. RM401 Credit and SA202 Grid Configuration are prerequisite courses. After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the connectivity between Allegro and (SIRS™)
- Configure CreditConnect to import credit rating and fundamental data
- Post a request to SIRS™ for downloads
- Import requested data from SIRS™
- Configure automatic imports using the Grid Scheduler.

Participants will learn how to leverage the power of the Allegro architecture by extending the data model to capture customer specific information. After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Add a new table
- Add columns to a table
- Add foreign keys / data constraints
- Create secondary, non-unique database indexes
- Apply data model changes via the DB Sync process
- Utilize database objects (i.e. database views/joins)

Participants will learn how to leverage the power of the Allegro architecture by extending the visual model. After completing this course, participants will be able to:

- Add new data panes to views

- Configuring parent/child view relationship
- Configuring user and System views
- Configuring view templates

Participants will learn how to create Allegro extensions using Messaging. After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Create message event classes
- Generate event-based messages
- Schedule messages via the Grid Scheduler

- Review and evaluate the message log

Participants will learn how to create Allegro extensions using Class Events. After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish the various types of “events” in Allegro
